Transportation Data and Government Services, Inc. (TDAGS) is an
economic and management consulting firm that offers a variety of
services to the Federal Government. TDAGS was founded by Messrs.
Awan and Brennan and is a certified U.S. Department of Transportation
Disadvantaged Business Enterprise.
TDAGS has a depth of experience in its principals
and key staff. As such, TDAGS is capable of assisting Federal agencies
achieve their critical missions by providing operational support,
information technology and telecommunications assistance, policy
analysis, and research. We employ techniques from microeconomics,
industrial organization, finance, public choice theory, decision
sciences, game theory, and information technology that can assist
Federal managers identify critical problems and make good decisions.
TDAGS has an innovative, “can-do” philosophy
that can help government officials accomplish change in an efficient
and cost-effective fashion.
Key Staff
Our principal, Mazhar Ali Awan and Associates have extensive experience working on issues for the Federal Government. At the U.S. Surface Transportation Board (hereafter, STB or Board), Mr. Awan participated as an analyst or team leader in nearly all the coal transportation rate cases brought before the Board since 1998. In addition to his case work, Mr. Awan has worked on the Board's rate studies and has briefed Commissioners on trends and developments in the railroad industry.
In January 2005, Mr. Awan left the Federal government to pursue private sector consulting opportunities.
In addition to the expertise of our principal, TDAGS has associates and retained experts that contribute on a project-specific basis (accounting, finance, information technology, transportation, telecommunications, and management of information systems). By aligning TDAGS with these other experts, TDAGS can effectively address customer needs as they are enumerated in projects or as they develop during the course of a project.
